Soft and Medium use six layers. Firm uses five because its tuned all-foam core has two foam layers instead of three.

• Outer cover. The finished sleep surface and zippered exterior.
• Fire barrier. A separate protective layer built to meet CFR 1633 and CFR 1632 flammability requirements.
• Foam system. Soft and Medium use three foam layers: gel memory foam, transition comfort foam, and high-density support foam.
• Firm foam system. Firm uses two foam layers tuned for a more direct, supportive feel.
• Non-slip bottom. The base fabric helps keep the mattress stable on a suitable foundation.

Every Origin One is all-foam. There are no springs or coils.

The mattress is roll-compressed at our facility in Houston, Texas, sealed in a plastic sleeve, and boxed. A Queen ships in one box weighing approximately 66 pounds.

Once you bring it inside, slide the rolled mattress onto your foundation, cut the plastic sleeve, and the mattress expands on its own. Most beds are fully expanded within twenty minutes. You can sleep on it the same night, though we recommend letting it air for the first four hours.

Two reasons. The first is honest: a zippered cover lets you inspect the construction you bought.

The second is practical. The cover is the part of any mattress that gets the most life. Spills, dust, sweat. A removable, washable cover means the bed lasts its full ten years without you needing a mattress topper to hide what is underneath.

We sell replacement covers at cost for the first five years, in case the original one ever wears out before the foam does.

If you have slept on a mattress you liked in the last ten years, that firmness is a good starting point. Side sleepers under 180 lb usually land on plush. Back and stomach sleepers usually land on medium. Above 220 lb, firm is rarely wrong.

No. The Origin One is built to sit on a slatted foundation with slats no more than 3 inches apart, a flat platform, an adjustable base, or directly on the floor.

A traditional box spring is not required, and we do not recommend one — its flex takes the support work away from the foam.

Yes. The foam is flexible enough for the head and foot articulation common to adjustable bases, and the cover is sewn to handle the bend without creasing the top layer.

The Origin One is rated to 800 lb combined sleep weight for a Queen, King, or Cal King. For a Twin or Twin XL, 400 lb. These are not the failure points — these are the points at which the comfort profile starts to flatten, and the warranty assumes normal use within them.

If your household is near the limit, we recommend the firm option; it has a higher transition density to keep the profile from bottoming out.

Orders typically leave our Houston facility in one to two business days, and arrive at your door in five to seven business days after that. We email you a tracking link the day the box leaves the warehouse.

White-glove delivery is not currently available. Standard delivery is free to your door in the contiguous 48 states; because a Queen box is approximately 66 pounds, we recommend two people for moving and setup.

Not covered: damage from an improper foundation, stains, normal softening of the comfort layer, or cover wear from use. The warranty is on the foam, not the way you treat it.

Email us with a photo of the issue and your order number. We respond within one business day with the next step. Most claims are resolved by sending a replacement cover or a replacement foam layer — we do not usually ask you to ship the whole mattress back.

No. The 10-year limited warranty begins on the original delivery date, applies only to the original retail purchaser, and is not transferable.
